Jimmy V`s Restaurant in Roanoke

Nice atmosphere. But needs brightening up. Food is good but limited to sandwiches.

Food was not what expected. Baked spaghetti was just plain spaghetti with a little melted cheese on top that had started to gel up. My spaghetti was just juice and pasta.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FOR THEIR STEAK SANDWICH!!! YUM. Service is always prompt and friendly. Their menu selection have good variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and pizzas.

NO Service. Never got waited on. Very disorganized, must be under new management. Heard telling phone orders to call back in hour. Really, after your lunch is Over. Place is in TROUBLE!!

I have been eating here for 20+ years. The food is always excellent. They never disappoint. Let me be clear it was great when it was Jimmy V's. However I have been twice since it changed owners and I have not been impressed either time..

The food is good, no matter what you order. The subs are great and pizza is awesome. Certainly nothing like you'd get from a pizza chain. The good thing is that is hasn't changed for years.

Jimmy V's has been a Roanoke institution for years. Quaint, homey but with a great selection of appitizers, pizza, subs and entrees. Fun and friendly every time!

Over priced and nothing like the original Jimmy V's. They have ruined the name. Staff is very sloppy.

Jimmy V's Restaurant Servers go "the extra mile" in making customers feelspecial. The menu offers numerous choices. The food is well prepared andflavored with perfection, dressed up"Home Cooking"; very satisfying. Generousportions with complimentary refills onbeverage is a nice gesture of Southern Hospitality. The atmosphere is very pleasant, alone or with family and/orfriends. The modest prices do not exceed all around quality for the good choiceof a night out, or celebration.

Trying to finish my meal that we ordered from here solely to not be wasteful... but it is not good. The baked spaghetti was runny and wet, the sauce had no flavor, and the garlic bread that came with it was stale tasting and burnt.

The original submarine was very good. The Miller Lite was so cold that there was ice floating on the top. My wife had a gluten free bacon cheeseburger pizza that was great!

Great food, quiet and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a good conversation while having a delicious meal..And of course, great service. Highly recommended.

The food was decent, nothing special. The Baked Spaghetti was very bland. If I eat here again, I will choose something different and maybe my experience will be better.

We went after reading all the reviews and wanting to support a local non chain establishment... that was not the best decision we have made this trip. The walls are dirty, the place is dark, there was no nice background music on. Ordered 7 inch meatball sub... bland no seasoning in the meatballs the meatballs were a few days old. My wife ordered roast beef sandwich... dry meat not inspiring no love she didn’t finish it. Apparently this establishment has been here for 40 years which is surprising. Would not return.

Love the food I was friends with the previous owner put one thing they could improve is not bringing in your kids and having them help in the kitchen that weirded me out alot

Food was way over cooked. I was wondering why on a Saturday night there was no one in the restaurant when a year ago you had to wait for a table. After eating there I understood why, what a disappoinment. Not going back again.

I've always loved the original sandwiches so I ordered the ham and cheese today. Less ham, they no longer have the mustard slaw and the slaw they are now serving is HORRIBLE, period. Good service but this is the worst sandwich I've ever had from one of my favorite places. Too much change with lower quality

Apparently there are new owners. A pizza place without large thin crust. Service was the pits also. Actually would have been better to have to taken a Little Cesar pizza with me and just ordered a beer. Will admit beer and mug was cold so one thing correct. Ordered a app of cheese sticks came with side order of fries. Asked if that was my app before eating and was told thats what I ordered. Guess they didnt want to give me a full basket of cheese sticks. Deff sad to see a local food establishment run into the ground by new ownership

Food has always been excellent and plentiful. Plenty of room for medium sized meetings. Plenty of parking. Jimmy himself likes what he does w people. Shares his blessings many ways

Been going here since Claude and Jimmy had it in the 70s. Still has the same cozy feel. Great sandwiches and cold beer. Every trip back to Roanoke brings me here for a "hat trick"
